UDF Tracking Activation

Activates the tracking of changes made to custom candidate fields (user-defined fields – UDF) relating to the personal information, work experience and education (does not include offer user defined fields as these can only be modified when the offer is Draft).

Path

Configuration > Recruiting – Administration > General Configuration – Settings

Name

UDF Tracking Activation

Category

Candidate

Possible Values

  • 20 (does not include offer fields as these can only be modified when an offer is in Draft status)
  • Any numerical value. There are no expected latency issues in the user interface from storing history changes for all reportable UDFs – up to 250 fields.
However, queries in Reporting and TCC will need to take these potentially higher levels of volumes into consideration to prevent row limit and time-out incidents.

Impacts

  • This is the maximum number of candidate UDF that can be set as available in “History” so each time a change is made to this UDF in a candidate file, an History entry is created to track its previous value.
  • After the maximum number is reached, administrators will not be able to set more UDF as available in “History”  (Configuration > Recruiting – Administration > Fields – Candidate > Show user-defined Fields > [select a field] > Edit Availability).
  • It also impacts the Custom Report Universe availability checkbox in field configuration.
